Mr. Gary Nault is a retired USAF Officer, A-10 Pilot and instructor, with a successful career as an executive in strategic planning and business development in the communications and electro-optical fields. He most recently retired from Northrop Grumman as the Director of Business Development/Senior Capture Lead in the Advanced Systems and Products Operating Unit within the Information Systems Sector. Mr. Nault was responsible for Strategic Planning, Proposal Management, Business Development and Communications for this $350M per year operating unit. He led large priority wins for the business unit including two large classified cyber campaigns.

Prior to his role at Northrop Grumman, Mr. Nault was the Vice President, Communications and Electronics Business Development at Cubic Defense in San Diego, CA. In this position and was responsible for long range strategic planning, advanced programs, business development and capture management for all of the Cubic Communications and Electronics Products and Programs.

In addition, Mr. Nault reported to the General Manager of Airborne Electro Optical at Raytheon Sensors and Electronics in El Segundo, CA as the Program Director for Airborne EO. In this position he was responsible for P&L of the advanced programs portion of the Electro Optical portfolio valued at $30M per year. In addition, he was responsible for establishing the win strategy, staffing the capture teams, establishing the investment, and directing the capture process. He was responsible for more than $1.5B of sales in the company’s five-year plan.

Mr. Nault also worked for Lockheed Martin (LM) Fairchild Systems and Martin Marietta as the Director and Manager, respectively, in Business Development. At LM Fairchild Systems he was responsible for establishing the strategic plans, prioritizing Research and Development funds, developing win plans, and supervising other professionals in the FLIR, Intelligence and Reconnaissance segments of the corporation. He was responsible for more than $300M of sales in the company’s five- year plan.

His responsibilities at Martin Marietta included the supervision of professionals and was responsible for all marketing, communications, and public relations for this organization. He was responsible for capturing $20M per year in Research and Development contracts and exceeded this goal every year. His principle customers were DARPA, DOD laboratories, and other national laboratories. He focused on advanced technologies for electro optical, FLIR, and missile seeker systems.

Mr. Nault earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and a Masters of Science in Aeronautical Structures, Guggenheim Fellow, from Columbia University, New York, NY.
